How nice! Thank you for wishing me luck, eBay!

Dublin Dr Pepper

This post was actually written back in June — I just never bothered looking at the pictures I took until now, some four months later!

So a few days months ago, I managed to find myself in Brenham, TX at around 4:30AM. I decided that this was an optimal time to buy a drink from a random gas station. I look at the soda cooler, and what do I see? Dublin Dr Pepper. Dr Pepper. With real cane sugar.

So I bought some. And it was good. Worth the 70 mile drive, that’s for sure.

Pregnant suicide scam

I spotted an interesting email scam format earlier today:

From: TUFAINA JULIE ADAMS [mailto:tufaina2000200@yahoo.com]
Sent: Saturday, September 15, 2007 3:37 PM
Subject: I WILL KILL HANG MYSELF WITH THIS PREGENACY

IM WEAK ,FRAUSTRATED ,TIRED AND SUFFERING.I DONT WANT TO CONTINUE THIS AND ALL THOSE CHRISTIANS ARE NOT PRATISING WHAT THEY PREACH.I WILL KILL MY SELF AND I DONT WANT TO CONTINUE IN THIS WEAKEND WORLD.PRAY FOR MY SOUL. BYE AND SEE YOU IN HEAVEN. TUFAINA

I wonder how many good, honest (and ignorant :( ) Christians sent money to this person to restore her faith in Christianity and help out her unborn child. I’m afraid I wasn’t quite as compassionate as I’m sure some people were:

Dear Tufaina,

I understand that life and the pressures of pregnancy have forced you to go into a depression. I do not consider myself a Christian, but I’d still like to do my best to help you.

Where can I send the rope? Please let me know as soon as possible and I’ll have it sent to you via overnight delivery. Hope that helps!
